Who are we?
Santapan is the commercial arm of Kembara Kitchen, a social enterprise that was founded in 2015 with the core purpose of providing sustainable food aid to disaster areas.
Santapan is a high quality, ready to eat meal that is cooked using retort processing to provide meals that have a 2 year shelf life.
Proceeds from Santapan is channeled towards the production of Hero Meals. Hero Meals is a ready to eat meal that is provided free to disaster victims. There are 7 types that cater to a wide range of requirements. The main purpose is to provide nutritious food as fast as possible with limited wastage that can be efficiently deployed to disaster areas.
Since June 2021, Kembara Kitchen has produced approximately 130,000 Hero meals and distributed them throughout Malaysia. In February 2023, approximately 10,000 Hero Meals were sent via Malaysian SAR teams to Turkey for relief during an earthquake disaster
